About Me

I’m Smita Shivanandan, a Senior Analytics Consultant helping SaaS and operational businesses turn fragmented reporting into clear, decision-ready analytics.

1. What I Do

I help businesses make better decisions with their data by designing analytics systems that are clear, reliable, and aligned with how the business actually runs.

My work typically focuses on:

  • defining the right metrics for the business
  • connecting data across systems
  • building scalable reporting foundations
  • helping teams trust and use their analytics

I work with modern analytics stacks designed to balance scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

2. My Background

I have 9+ years of experience in SQL and BI and 4+ years working specifically with SaaS and operational analytics.

I’ve led analytics initiatives across SaaS platforms and inventory-driven businesses, helping teams move from fragmented reporting to a single source of truth.

In my most recent SaaS role, I was responsible for the entire analytics function — from designing the data architecture and defining the stack to growing the data team and managing contractors and consultants.

My focus is always on building lean, practical analytics systems that teams can trust and use in everyday decisions.

You don’t need a big team or a heavy rebuild to get value.
We’ll begin with 1–2 questions your business actually needs answered — and build only what you’re ready to use.
